NATIONAL TOUR GAINS NEW JAVERT, NEW EPONINE

Todd Alan Johnson and Rona Figueroa recently assumed the roles of Javert and Eponine, respectively, in the touring company; Mr. Johnson replacing David Masenheimer and Ms. Figueroa taking over for Dawn Younker.

Currently appearing in Grand Rapids, Michigan until Sunday, May 4th, Mr. Johnson comes to Les Mis after touring internationally in the title role of Ken Hill’s Phantom of the Opera and as the Beast in Beauty and the Beast. You may also remember his “underwater antics” in Ziegfeld, A Night at the Follies. Among his many other credits, Mr. Johnson also appeared off-Broadway in Warp, in Los Angeles in Twelfth Night and regionally in another Phantom, that of Yeston & Kopit.

Ms. Figueroa is most well-known as Kim in the Broadway production of Boublil and Schonberg’s Miss Saigon. Her several off-Broadway credits include The Caucasian Chalk Circle, Turandot and The Wild Party. For Waiting in the Wings, a film short Ms. Figueroa wrote and starred in, she won Best Movie Awards from the Director’s Guild of America, the Academy of Television Arts and Science, the Dusty Festival and the Portuguese Festival.

After Greenville, the company will head to Grand Rapids, Boston for a nine week engagement.
