John Caird

Adaptor

John Caird is a freelance director and writer working worldwide in theatre, opera and musical theatre. He has worked at the National Theatre and is an honorary associate director of the RSC where he has directed more than 20 plays. John has published several works as a librettist and lyricist. John and Trevor have together directed Nicholas Nickleby (winner of five Tony awards), JM Barrie’s Peter Pan and the original production of Les Misérables (winner of eight Tony awards).
