Andy’s highly acclaimed costume designs for the Royal Shakespeare Company led to her outstanding success with Les Misérables and a Tony nomination on Broadway. She also designed the costumes for another international hit Miss Saigon directed by Nicholas Hytner (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane) and both productions continue worldwide. Andy’s other costume designs for London and the West End include Gone with the Wind, The Baker’s Wife and Timon of Athens all directed by Trevor Nunn, the hugely successful Grease, The Far Pavilions, Peter Pan directed by John Caird (NT) and Bizet’s Carmen (Royal Albert Hall). Her many international credits include Nabucco directed by Elijah Moshinsky (Metropolitan Opera New York), Miss Julie (Athens), the musical Jane Eyre directed by John Caird (Broadway; Outer Critics Circle Award nomination) and Cameron Mackintosh’s Martin Guerre (USA).
Other Royal Shakespeare Company credits include The Changeling directed by Michael Attenborough, The Merchant of Venice with Antony Sher, Fair Maid of the West directed by Trevor Nunn (the inaugural production at the Swan Theatre in Stratford), Hedda Gabler with Glenda Jackson, Once in a Lifetime, Peter Pan (Barbican) and Nicholas Nickleby (Stratford and USA; Critics Award for Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design). Andy’s film credits include Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead starring Richard Dreyfuss directed by Tom Stoppard and Still Life with Roger Daltrey.
