Cameron Mackintosh is delighted to announce the return of Les Misérables – The Staged Concert, now playing at the Sondheim Theatre from 5 December 2020 – 28 February 2021, coinciding with the musical’s 35th year on Shaftesbury Avenue.

Les Misérables -The Staged Concert broke box office records and sold out its entire 16 week season when it ran last year at the Gielgud Theatre. Its all-star cast*, led by Michael Ball as Javert, Alfie Boe as Jean Valjean, Carrie Hope Fletcher as Fantine and Matt Lucas as Thénardier will return alongside a company of over 50 actors and musicians.

Cameron Mackintosh says, “the beautiful new Sondheim Theatre will re-open its doors so audiences can once again leap to their feet thrilled by Victor Hugo’s timelessly uplifting story of the survival of the human spirit told through Boublil and Schönberg amazing iconic score – Let The People Sing.  Happy Christmas to us all.”

PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE

Tuesday - Saturday 7.15pm
Saturday: 2.00pm
Sunday: 3.00pm

The running time is 2 hours and 45 minutes.


Please note that John Owen-Jones will play the role of Jean Valjean at certain performances. Click CAST SCHEDULE for more information.

The appearance of any performer cannot be guaranteed. All casting may be subject to last minute changes, especially due to the current pandemic and strict safety measures in place (which includes regular testing of the company).

We are working hard to ensure the safety of all patrons and performers. Due to Covid-19 safety measures, we are unable to accept gifts or items for signing and there will be no public access to Stage Door. The cast won’t be able to sign items or take photos when entering or leaving the building.

Following the latest Government announcement, London moves into Tier 2 restrictions from 2nd December. If you have purchased tickets and your local area will move into Tier 3, you are entitled to request an exchange of your tickets, a credit voucher, or a refund.
