Matthew works as a musical director, conductor, arranger and pianist in London and on tour across the UK. Matthew was recently the associate conductor for Les Misérables at the Queens Theatre, London following working as Musical Director for the UK & International tour of Miss Saigon for Cameron Mackintosh
Other Credits include: the International tour of Evita, playing world-renowned opera houses across Europe and Asia; The Commitments (UK tour); Priscilla Queen of the Desert (International tour); Ain’t Misbehavin and The Concert They Never Gave (UK tour); Rent (Bridewell); Edges (Cockpit) and cover conductor for Sister Act - the Musical (UK tour).
Associate musical director for: Jekyll & Hyde; Whistle Down the Wind and Cabaret (UK tours). As a pianist and/or rehearsal MD, Matthew has worked on shows such as Les Misérables, Singin’ in the Rain, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Top Hat and the workshop of Lloyd Webber’s new Cinderella (all in London’s West End) and Dancing in the Streets, Scrooge, Top Hat and Doctor Dolittle (tour). Matthew also worked as musical supervisor and arranger for P&O world cruises, working with the theatre company on the Aurora and Oriana ships.
Matthew’s arrangement and orchestration work includes: Help for Heroes (West End); Love Beyond (Wembley Arena); Dreamboats and Petticoats (UK tour and West End); Jekyll & Hyde and Rock ‘n’ Roll Heaven (international tours); Cissie and Ada and Lullaby of Broadway (tour) and Annie (Hong Kong and Singapore). Pantomime work includes the titles Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella (across the UK).
