Theatre includes: Orchestrator for the Broadway productions of Porgy and Bess, Legally Blonde (and London), Cry Baby and Grease (2007). Chris co-orchestrated (with William David Brohn) Dessa Rose and A Man of No Importance by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens.
Other orchestrations include: Tom Jones, Chasing Nicolette, Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley’s album Opposite You, the musicals Not Wanted on the Voyage and Just So, and additional orchestrations for the UK tour of The Witches of Eastwick. He also created the new orchestrations and arrangements for Jerry Herman’s Dear World.
From 1996 to 2001, he was resident conductor and orchestrator at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, CT, where he contributed to more than 20 productions including the US premiere of By Jeeves, Houdini, Mirette, Paper Moon and Lucky in the Rain. As assistant to orchestrator William David Brohn: Sweet Smell of Success, Ragtime, The Three Musketeers (Stiles/Leigh), The Witches of Eastwick, Mary Poppins and Wicked. He was music producer/supervisor of the Tony award-winning Memphis.
