Steve Moss

Steve is delighted to be back at the Sondheim Theatre, conducting Les Misérables. Steve was previously Musical Director of the show in 2019-2021,  and was Associate Musical Director at the Gielgud Theatre, for Les Misérables - The Staged Concert.

Steve recently finished conducting Mary Poppins at the Prince Edward Theatre, where he was the Musical Director from 2021-2023.

 Steve was also Associate Musical Supervisor of Mary Poppins in Japan (2018). 

 As Musical Director, Steve has worked on: The original production of Les Misérables at the Queen’s Theatre London (2018-2019); Mary Poppins UK tour (2016-2017); Mary Poppins (Zurich & Dubai); Les Misérables “Hear the people sing” for Jo Cox.

As Assistant Conductor, Steve has conducted on shows including: Miss Saigon (Prince Edward Theatre 2015-2016); Les Misérables (Queen’s Theatre 2012-2017); The Wizard of Oz 3rd MD (London Palladium); Les Misérables (UK & International Tour 3rd MD).

Recordings include: Les Misérables (25th Anniversary cast album); Les Misérables - The Staged Concert 2020; The Wizard of Oz cast album; Miss Saigon cast album; Miss Saigon 25th Anniversary DVD; The Heat is Back On DVD.

Previous shows playing clarinet, saxophone and flute include: Miss Saigon (London); Les Misérables (UK & International Tour); Funny Girl (Chichester); White Christmas (UK Tours); Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (UK Tour); The Wizard of Oz (London); Privates on Parade (London); Mary Poppins (UK Tour).

Steve has also depped on War Horse (London); Evita (London); Les Misérables (London); Porgy & Bess (London); Sister Act (UK Tour); West Side Story (UK Tour).

Steve trained at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, and the Royal College of Music, London.
