Nic Gray

Nic studied at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, gaining a BA (hons) in Theatre Sound.

He started his career as a sound mixer on various tours and in London, including Cameron Mackintosh Ltd’s My Fair Lady and Mary Poppins (UK tours); Marguerite (London) and Mamma Mia! (international tour).

Nic started his association with Mick Potter as number mixer on the 25th anniversary tour of Les Misérables (2009/10) and was also involved in the 25th anniversary concert (O2 Arena, London). For Mick, he has also mixed The Wizard of Oz (London); The Phantom of the Opera (25th anniversary tour); the 25th anniversary revival of Miss Saigon (London); Half a Sixpence (London) and Sunset Boulevard, Carousel and Chess with the ENO Orchestra (London Coliseum).

Nic has been Associate Designer for Mick Potter on Les Misérables worldwide from 2010 onwards, with productions including Madrid, Barcelona, Spanish tour, Seoul and South Korean tours, Toronto, Sydney, Tokyo and Japanese tours, São Paulo, Mexico City, the current North American tour and now this new 2018 UK and Ireland tour. Also, for Mick, Nic was Associate Designer for the Japanese production of Miss Saigon (Tokyo and touring) and The Phantom of the Opera in Moscow, Oberhausen, Stockholm, São Paulo and Copenhagen.
