Stephen Metcalfe

Stephen Metcalfe is an arranger and orchestrator for film and theatre. For the past fifteen years he worked as Head of Music at Cameron Mackintosh Ltd., where he has developed, edited and contributed orchestrations to the scores for all of Cameron Mackintosh’s productions in the UK and worldwide, most recently providing orchestrations for the Broadway revival of Les Misérables.

Stephen has produced the 2008 London cast album of Oliver; the new UK Tour cast album of Les Misérables; the Australian cast album of Mary Poppins; the DVD release of the Les Misérables concert at the O2; the original London cast album of Betty Blue Eyes and the 2014 London cast album of Miss Saigon.

Other productions include Les Misérables (London, New York, The Netherlands, Spain, US tour); Miss Saigon (London, UK and US tours, The Netherlands); The Witches of Eastwick (London and UK Tour); Cats (London); Martin Guerre (Watermill); My Fair Lady (London, UK and US Tours); Avenue Q (London); Mary Poppins (London, New York, UK and US Tours); Oliver! (London, UK Tour); Hair (London), Betty Blue Eyes (London) and Barnum (Chichester, UK Tour).

Stephen orchestrated and produced the soundtrack albums for the Universal Pictures film of Les Misérables, for which he received a Grammy Award nomination.
